The Boss Baby: Family Business is a 2021 American computer-animated comedy film created by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures, largely based on Marla Frazee's 2010 picture book The Boss Baby and its 2016 sequel The Bossier Baby.
On Friday, July 2, The Boss Baby: Family Business, the sequel to the 2017 animated film The Boss Baby, opened in theatres and on Peacock. The franchise follows a kid who helps his baby brother, who is a secret agent in the fight between infants and puppies and is based on Marla Frazee's 2010 book of the same name. Theodore "Ted" Lindsey Templeton, the titular Boss Baby and infant with the intellect of an adult who works for Baby Corp. and gets intelligence and the capacity to talk after ingesting a "Secret Baby Formula," is played by Alec Baldwin.
Ted and his elder brother, Tim (played by James Marsden), return as adults in The Boss Baby 2 after a new Boss Baby (played by Amy Sedaris) asks for their help in stopping a professor from deleting childhoods all across the world. Tina Templeton, an undercover executive of Baby Corp and Tim and Carol's younger daughter, is the new Boss Baby.
With one significant exception, the majority of the original cast from Boss Baby reprises their roles as animated characters in the sequel. Tobey Maguire's part is taken over by James Marsden, while Tim's daughter is played by a budding child star. Due to the addition of a new enemy and other supporting characters, a number of noteworthy celebrity voices have been added to the mix.
