Black Widow (2021) is a superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Marvel Studios produced the film, which Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures distributed.
Scarlett Johansson plays Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow opposite Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, William Hurt, Ray Winstone, and Rachel Weisz in the film directed by Cate Shortland from a script by Eric Pearson. Romanoff is on the run and forced to confront her past in this film, which takes place after Captain America: Civil War (2016).
With an overblown, too-long action scene that plays like a festival of stunt doubles tossing each other around a Russian lab, Black Widow does become Avengers characteristically at the end. The actual conclusion is better: a post-credit sequence reintroduces Pugh as Yelena in a tease that is neither surprising nor unexpected but is quite pleasant.
Well, the good news is that Marvel finally explains what happened in Budapest!
